Accessibility and Availability

Neighborhood

Los Alamos is a very charming old western town, a former stagecoach line stop... and our front yard has the stagecoach to commemorate it. It's great for selfies. Walk to many great restaurants and tasting rooms, like Full of Life Flatbread, Casa Dumetz Wines, Plenty on Bell, Bell's, and Pico. We are a stone's throw from the Union Hotel and Bodega, where many weddings are held. We are 15-20 minutes from several lovely towns and villages like Los Olivos, Solvang, Buellton, and Santa Ynez, full of tasting rooms, art galleries, and more great restaurants. If you need a Target or Trader Joe's, Santa Maria is a larger city the same distance away (just head north instead of south on Route 101). The Santa Ynez Valley and Santa Barbara County are full of fantastic vineyards and wineries, with tasty wines and friendly people. It's like a tiny Napa with none of the attitude. We have many more great winery recommendations for you, just ask!

We just got home from our mini little trip for our daughter's 20th birthday. We are so happy my daughter found Jen's place. we had such a great time. The house is beautiful and looks just like the pictures, this home truly is a treasure. Jen was a great host, very responsive and had a welcome basket for us. We cant wait to come back and stay in this beautiful historic house.

The house is exactly as stated, full of history and local cultural references. We spent a rainy weekend there wine tasting and exploring local restaurants and then enjoying relaxed evenings at the house full of laughter and games. Highly recommend!

Heritage House was a great place to stay during our extended Christmas weekend in Los Alamos. The house was exactly what we were looking for-walkable to great restaurants, cozy corners inside and outside for reading, a well stocked kitchen, with enough space for everyone to have their own room. Jen was responsive and proactive-offering suggestions and great snacks upon arrival. She also immediately jumped into help when we needed minor maintenance support, sending a great handyman to help resolve the issue for us. Her messages were helpful and informative and helped make our stay easier. Also impressive and appreciated-the heater in the house worked SO well during some very chilly nights, for a 140 year old house, we were cozy and comfortable during our entire stay. I hope we’ll be back!

We loved this home for so many reasons. Fun history, eclectic furnishings, luxurious bed linens, fabulous outside spaces, spacious rooms, and a most wonderful host. We celebrated a girlfriend’s 70th birthday and enjoyed the entire property. Thank you to Jen for the extra goodies and great accommodations. And what fun we had with the karaoke! 🎵🎵
